How it started:
A Little bit of Art was started by Gina Cross in 2009 having previously worked for 10 happy years at the Guardian newspaper, commissioning illustration, curating exhibitions and running talks by contributing Artists. Having established strong working relationships with a large number of Illustrators, A Little bit of Art started as a vehicle to showcase affordable prints while not stinting on quality from some of the UK's finest creative talent.
Since 2012, Gina started GAS Gallery which focuses on collectible prints and Applied Art pieces. Gina also continues to work as a regular visiting lecturer to Illustration courses in the UK, setting projects and giving tutorials.
What we are about
We specialise in showing affordable art prints at under £250 and we are now commissioning and publishing exclusive prints. Our commitment is to show good quality prints that you won't find in every high street or online gallery and we hope to give you something a little bit quirkier than you may find elsewhere.
Who else is involved
In 2013 Rachel Lartey has joined A Little bit of Art as Gallery Manager. Rachel has over ten years experience representing artists, curating and designing exhibitions and commissioning artworks both within the public and private sectors.
Internships
We also run an internship programme, where current students and recent graduates are able to work with us to gain experience in the running of an online gallery. If you are interested in working with us please drop us a line for more information.
A Little bit of Art are currently showing collections online and at pop-up events, design shows and other temporary events. Please join our mailing list to be kept updated of where to find us next.
